Maya — U-Part Straight Wig | Blend-Your-Own-Edges Human Hair
No lace means nothing to melt, nothing to tint, and nothing that can ever look like lace. Maya leaves a U-shaped opening at the front that you pull your own hair through, so the hairline showing is genuinely yours. It is the oldest trick in wigs and still the most undetectable one.
Who this wig is for
For wearers with healthy hair at the front who want zero adhesive and zero lace maintenance. Not the right pick if you are protecting a thinning hairline — go for a glueless closure unit instead.

Styling and heat
Flat iron your leave-out to match the unit's texture, which is the only real skill involved. Straight is the easiest texture to blend, which is why we build the U-part in it. Keep the leave-out small — an inch or so is plenty.
How to install Maya
- Brush your own hair back flat and secure it — a wig cap is optional on this unit.
- Place the wig, line the front edge up with your natural hairline, and tighten the elastic band at the nape.
- Push the combs in at the temples and nape.
- Part it, tug your baby hair forward, and go. No glue, no gel, no cutting.
Care
- Wash every 8–10 wears with a sulphate-free shampoo, in cool water, in one direction.
- Condition the mid-lengths and ends only — never the knots at the lace.
- Air dry on a wig stand. Heat drying at the cap loosens the knots and causes shedding.
- Sleep in a satin bonnet or on a satin pillowcase.
- Store on a mannequin head, not folded in a drawer.

Questions people ask before buying this one
Does it wear shorter than the length I order?
Straight hair is measured stretched and worn stretched. What is on the label is what hangs.
What density should I choose?
180% unless you have a reason. 150% is genuinely natural and light — the right call if you have fine hair yourself or want the unit to pass unnoticed. 180% is our default and the safe answer. 200% is maximum volume, and worth it for long lengths and bleached hair, which always reads thinner than it is.
Will it fit my head?
Almost certainly. The cap is an average 22–22.5" and the straps take it from 21" to 23", which covers the large majority of adults. Measure once to be sure: a tape around your head, just above the ears and across the middle of the forehead, then round the widest part of the back. That single number is your cap size. If you land outside 21–23", email us before you order rather than after.
Do I need glue to install it?
There is no lace at all. You leave out a small section of your own hair at the front, pull it through the U-shaped opening, and blend it over the join. No adhesive, nothing on your skin, and no lace to tint or melt — the parting is your own hair, so it is undetectable by definition.
Can I dye or bleach it?
Darker, yes. Lighter, take it to a colourist. Natural black human hair takes any darker shade at home without drama. Lifting it to brown or blonde means bleach, and bleach on a wig is a one-shot job — a colourist who works on units will get there without frying the ends.
How long will it last?
Twelve to eighteen months of regular wear. Straight units mostly die of heat. A heat protectant and a flat iron under 180°C will roughly double how long it stays silky.

Before you order
- Dispatch: 1–2 business days. Orders placed after 2pm Friday (AWST) go out Monday. Australian orders are quoted 3–5 business days standard, 1–2 express, at checkout.
- Free standard shipping over $150. This unit starts at $109, so the shorter lengths sit under the threshold — the longer ones clear it.
- Trying it on does not void the return. This cap ships with the lace already cut, so you can put it on, look at it, and send it back within 30 days if it is wrong. That is not true of a unit you have to trim yourself.
Not sure on length or density? The size and density guide and the shrinkage chart answer both in about two minutes, and getting those right is what stops a return.
