Straight Wigs

Three kinds of straight, and which one you actually want

Straight is the least forgiving texture for hiding a lace edge, because there is no curl to break the line. If you are new to wigs and installing yourself, lean toward glueless or pick a longer length so the hair falls forward over the join.

The three finishes

  • Bone straight — poker-flat out of the box, no flat iron needed. High shine. Processed to get there, so buy it from someone who processed it once rather than four times.
  • Silky straight — smooth with a small amount of natural body at the root. Takes a curl easily and holds it.
  • Kinky straight — coarse, textured, with real volume at the root. Reads as natural hair that has been blown out, and blends with blow-dried leave-out better than anything else.

For unprocessed straight hair that lasts three years or more, see the raw collection.
