Short, curly and glueless is the easiest combination in wigs and almost nobody stocks it well. Nia is a proper kinky curly bob on a pre-cut 4x6 closure — no adhesive, no scissors, and short enough that the curl pattern stays defined instead of collapsing under its own weight.

Who this wig is for

For a protective style you can put on and take off daily, for travel, and for anyone growing their own hair out underneath. The tight curl hides the closure edge better than any other texture, so imperfect blending is barely visible.

Styling and heat

Wet it, add curl cream, shake it out, go. Never brush dry. A weekly co-wash keeps the pattern springy; a satin bonnet at night stops the frizz that ends most curly units.

How to install Nia

  1. Brush your own hair back flat and secure it — a wig cap is optional on this unit.
  2. Place the wig, line the front edge up with your natural hairline, and tighten the elastic band at the nape.
  3. Push the combs in at the temples and nape.
  4. Part it, tug your baby hair forward, and go. No glue, no gel, no cutting.

Care

  • Wash every 8–10 wears with a sulphate-free shampoo, in cool water, in one direction.
  • Condition the mid-lengths and ends only — never the knots at the lace.
  • Air dry on a wig stand. Heat drying at the cap loosens the knots and causes shedding.
  • Sleep in a satin bonnet or on a satin pillowcase.
  • Store on a mannequin head, not folded in a drawer.

Shipping and returns

Free worldwide shipping on orders over $150. Dispatched within 1–2 business days; 3–5 business days to the US, UK, Canada and Australia, 5–10 days elsewhere. 30-day returns on uninstalled units in their original packaging — if the lace is not what we promised, we refund it in full.

Questions people ask before buying this one

Does it wear shorter than the length I order?

This is the big one. A tight coil pattern can wear four to five inches shorter than the stretched measurement — that is normal for the texture, not a short unit. Buy up two lengths if you want visible length.

What density should I choose?

200% if it is a short unit or you want it dramatic; 180% for everything else. Short cuts and blunt lines need the extra hair to hold their shape — density is what stops a bob reading thin at the ends. 180% is what most people picture when they picture a wig.

Will it fit my head?

Almost certainly. The cap is an average 22–22.5" and the straps take it from 21" to 23", which covers the large majority of adults. Measure once to be sure: a tape around your head, just above the ears and across the middle of the forehead, then round the widest part of the back. That single number is your cap size. If you land outside 21–23", email us before you order rather than after.

Do I need glue to install it?

No glue, no scissors. The lace is already cut to the hairline and the knots are already bleached. It goes on with an elastic band and four combs — pull it into place, tighten the band behind the ears, clip the combs in. Under five minutes, and it comes off at night without solvent.

Can I dye or bleach it?

Darker, yes. Lighter, take it to a colourist. Natural black human hair takes any darker shade at home without drama. Lifting it to brown or blonde means bleach, and bleach on a wig is a one-shot job — a colourist who works on units will get there without frying the ends.

How long will it last?

Twelve to eighteen months of regular wear. Textured units live or die by how they are washed — cold water, downward strokes, air dry, never brush it dry. Heat is what turns a defined curl into frizz permanently.

Before you order

  • Dispatch: 1–2 business days. Orders placed after 2pm Friday (AWST) go out Monday. Australian orders are quoted 3–5 business days standard, 1–2 express, at checkout.
  • Free standard shipping over $150. This unit starts at $114, so the shorter lengths sit under the threshold — the longer ones clear it.
  • Trying it on does not void the return. This cap ships with the lace already cut, so you can put it on, look at it, and send it back within 30 days if it is wrong. That is not true of a unit you have to trim yourself.

Not sure on length or density? The size and density guide and the shrinkage chart answer both in about two minutes, and getting those right is what stops a return.
